Privacy Policy

SEC. (“the App”) is a personal travel-journal app that detects trips from your photo library. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and how it is handled.
1. Information We Access
- Photo metadata. When you grant photo library access, the App reads the capture time and location (GPS coordinates) embedded in your photos to automatically detect trips. This photo metadata is processed entirely on your device.
- Trip details you enter. Trip names, place labels, and other edits you make in the App are stored locally on your device.
2. How Data Is Used
- All trip detection and analysis happens on your device. Your photos are not uploaded to SEC. servers or stored on a SEC. backend.
- To display place names in the App, the App may send GPS coordinates to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim reverse-geocoding service ( nominatim.openstreetmap.org ). The coordinates are used to look up geographic names such as cities or places.
- Nominatim is operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. Requests to OpenStreetMap Foundation services may be accompanied by technical information such as IP address and application or device information. Please review the Nominatim Usage Policy and OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy for information about their handling of requests.
- SEC. does not operate its own backend server, user account system, or cloud synchronization service.
3. Sharing
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.
- If you use the App’s built-in sharing feature, only the content you explicitly choose to share, such as a trip poster image, is passed to the standard iOS share sheet.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Trip data is stored locally on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.
- Because SEC. does not maintain user accounts or store trip data on its own servers, we do not have a server-side copy of your trip data to delete upon request.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
